Ida Noyes Hall was originally designed and built to be a women’s gymnasium and social center at the University of Chicago in the year 1916. The 82,000 square foot building resembles a Tudor English manor house, giving it a much different appearance than some of the other Gothic buildings on the campus. The large building boasts 8 different event spaces for student groups, university departments, and even non-university events. Choose between the Cloister Club, Library and Library Lounge, Courtyard, Max Palevsky Cinema, Meeting Room 117, the East & West Lounges, and the Theatre for your event.
