The arts collide tonight in Houston

Lookout Houston! We’re headed your way tonight. Come on down to Numbers Night Club for a silent disco featuring Echoplex, Gracie Chavez & Navó (Bombón), DJ Ipod Ammo, and DJ Sun. The show starts at 8:00 PM and is only $5.00, but a limited number of headphones will be provided so get there early!
Artist Britt Ragsdale will be filming the event from 9:00 PM to midnight. Per a post on Ragsdale’s blog:
In fulfillment of my HAA individual artist grant, I am creating a video piece utilizing silent disco technology. I am documenting the physical interactions between people in a club/party atmosphere without the distraction of music.
It’s shaping up to be a fun night all around at Numbers. Come out, get your silent disco on, and be a part of helping Britt create her art work.
Also this evening, we will be bringing the University of Silent Disco to Miami with Coke Zero.
Saturday night we will be up north for a private event in New York City and a University of Silent Disco event in Providence, RI.
We will wrap up the weekend Sunday afternoon in Memphis as we rock the Brookhaven Bash with State Farm.
