Over the last six weeks, we have created a number of new photo sets in our Flickr account and posted each of the sets on our website.

If you have not done so yet, please click over and take a look at photos sets from our events at NC State, Social Media Week in Chicago, this summer’s The Great GoogaMooga Festival, and the Gawker Media Hush Silent Disco to name a few.

One of the most popular and successful annual stops for Silent Events and the University of Silent Disco is Wolfpack Welcome Week at North Carolina State University in Raleigh.

On our first stop at NC State back in 2010, more than 550 students turned out for the silence. On August 17 of this year, more than 1,100 students poured through the Talley Center Ballroom where three DJs were providing the beats. You read that right…more than 1,100 students!

NC State student Michael Ramos grabbed footage during this year’s event and put together the video below and posted it on YouTube.

Many thanks to the NC State Inter-Residence Council for having us back and to the students for once again impressing us with such an incredible turnout! You guys rock!

Article excerpt:

More than 550 students broke a record in silence over the weekend.

The Inter-Residence Council hosted a Silent Disco Saturday night at Talley Student Center, featuring music played on headphones rather than out loud. The event was the largest event of its kind in the U.S. to date, with more than 550 students in attendance.

Dakota Bentz, a freshman in biomedical engineering, said she decided to attend Silent Disco because it was free and sounded exciting.

“I’m having a lot of fun so far,” Bentz said at the event. “Everyone is dancing and the DJs music is good.”
